High-Level Support for Busy Households
A Household Manager provides experienced, proactive support that keeps your home running smoothly behind the scenes. From managing schedules and coordinating household needs to supporting daily logistics, this role allows families to focus less on managing the home and more on enjoying it.
Our Approach
Household management works best when trust, autonomy, and clear communication are established from the beginning. A great Household Manager doesn’t just complete tasks — they anticipate needs, create organization, and bring consistency to the overall flow of the home.
Our approach focuses on thoughtful matching, clear role definition, and long-term success for both families and caregivers. When the right fit is found, a Household Manager becomes a trusted part of your village — someone who helps your household function smoothly while supporting your family’s changing needs over time.
What Does a Household Manager Do?
A Household Manager focuses on the overall organization and coordination of the home, allowing families to step away from daily logistics and responsibilities.
Responsibilities may include:
• Managing household schedules and calendars
• Coordinating vendors, maintenance, and service appointments
• Household organization and systems management
• Overseeing household inventory and restocking
• Managing children’s schedules and transportation logistics
• Light meal planning or coordination
• Supporting communication between household staff when applicable
Household Managers typically operate with a high level of autonomy and experience, taking initiative to keep the home running efficiently without requiring constant direction.
Investing in Professional Household Support
A Household Manager role reflects a higher level of responsibility and autonomy within the home. Clear expectations, competitive compensation, and professional benefits help create stable, long-term placements that allow Household Managers to fully support your family.
Household Manager positions typically include:
• Guaranteed hours
• Competitive hourly pay aligned with current Pittsburgh-area market standards
• Paid time off, sick leave, and paid holidays
• Clear expectations and communication
• Defined responsibilities and decision-making authority
Many families seeking experienced Household Managers also offer additional benefits such as weather clauses, bereavement leave, healthcare stipends, or other supportive policies that reflect the professional nature of the role. Ask us about these + check out the guide below!
Support That Allows Your Home to Run Effortlessly
As family schedules grow busier, many families find that managing the home becomes a full-time responsibility of its own. A Household Manager provides trusted, consistent support that brings structure, organization, and peace of mind to daily life.
When the right match is found, families gain more than help — they gain the freedom to focus on their time together while knowing their home is cared for.
